Krash in Las Vegas!

Since most of ya didn't know (aside from Em) I recently spent 6 days on vacation with my parents and aunt Jan to Las Vegas. This was my first time out to Vegas, Em went with our parents when she was younger.

If your dad is riding a helicopter into the Grand Canyon, and compares the experience to the DS trench ... you might a "rebel pilot" Cool

I take a beating on EVERY other machine... but made $ on Star Wars video slots. I even hit one of the high paying bonus games where you target TIE Fighters in a X-Wing... my kinda game! Cool

Blue Man Group: After years of being surrounded by some pushy people for SW photo ops... I ain't too proud to say I used some "dark side" tactics to get through the crowd for this one.

YES, I know it's just a Rubies Vader costume... but who else but me could find Darth Vader in Las Vegas? Wink

"Valley of Fire" - This place could pass for Tatooine, and nearby was where they filmed part of "Star Trek: Generations"

The only other SW-inspired experience I had while in Vegas was when my dad recommended we try some target practice at a place called "The Gun Store" located just a few miles off the Strip.

Now I'm about as "MacGyver" as they get when it comes to REAL guns in the world, but I have to admit the people who work there take their job VERY seriously which helped ease my concerns. Wish I could say the same for some of the moron clients who kept dropping ammo clips on the floor or stuffing their ammo in their pockets while they wait in line. Rolling Eyes

Anywho... I got to fire an M249 SAW w/40 Rds, M16 Rifle w/25 Rds, M9 "Beretta" Pistol w/20 Rds supervised by one of their staff members.

Turns out... I'm a pretty damn good shot! I guess all that SW laser tag, Battlefront II and HALO 3 playing payed off. Cool

Then the next day, I discovered one of the used rounds from the M249 SAW had landed PERFECTLY in the pocket of my cargo shorts... just as we were getting ready to leave for the airport. THAT would have been "interesting" to explain to the TSA guys! Rolling Eyes

You got to fire a M249???? Thats one of my favorite guns of all time. good ratio of ROF versus power. I am jealous dude
